Here Comes The Sun

It’s a sure sign that the warmer weather’s coming when you hear the sound of lawnmowers and the smell of freshly cut grass. But I really know it’s on the way when I don my lycra shorts, head to the garage to unearth my bike from amongst the winter debris and give it the yearly service of blowing up the tyres. It’s great going out for an early evening ride, it reminds me of my school years when we didn’t have a care in the world. Those were the days.

The last time I went out on my bike was the day before I went to America last year, so it’s been a while. Talking of America, I’ve finally decided to go back this summer. Things are a bit too quiet around here for my liking right now, and the thought of working for the next 6 months before uni is just not that appealing.

I’ve got lots of paperwork to deal with right now; numerous camp bits and pieces and also student finance forms. It would be nice to have an available desk to use so I can fill out all the forms, but seeing as my room is still in a state of, well, just in a state really, then I can’t use mine. Yeah, yeah, my room’s still not finished yet, but it is getting there. The new floor’s down now and looking really good, which means the only things left are the shelves, window blind and pictures to hang on the wall. One day, it will be finished, hopefully before I get to buy my own place after uni, numerous years from now. Imagine me, in my own place and doing the decorating. I’ll have paid the mortgage off before even half the house is finished!
