The Longest Day

It's certainly been a very long day today; something which will be repeated every Monday for this semester. I have to be at Worcester for 9:00, which means a departure time of 7:45 at the latest, but owing to the current bathroom queueing system, I'm still having to be up at 6:00.

My lecture times are 9:00 'til 11:00, 12:00 'til 13:00 and then 18:00 'til 19:00 - all for the same lesson. On first impression, that 5 hour gap in the afternoon seems crazy, but as I found out today, it's an ideal time to hit the library and start answering those tasks already being set. So it looks like I'm pretty much going to have to write Monday's off as a "uni only" day, which means I won't be able to get back in time for circuit training. It is only for this semester though.

In general, it was great to finally start today and have the chance to get to know some of the others on my course. We've already had to sort ourselves out into small groups so we can plan and deliver a presentation later in the year. Make no mistake, the course is going to be hard work, especially as I'm trying to balance uni time, study time and earning money time, but that just adds to the challenge.

Tomorrow is Education Studies in the morning and then the fitness testing in the afternoon - which will include my first ever go at the "bleep test." I'd better get some sleep then.

No queue for bathroom this week. Wondered why you got up so early!!

Yeah, a bit of a clanger on the getting up time. If 90% of the stuff you tell me isn't rubbish, I may have heard you say that you were both still on holiday this week. Selective hearing and all that.

Mart - check out the next update. Bleep test explanation.
