Eight days a week

While sitting in my room, with my feet up on my bedside table looking out of the window and eating some lunch, it's been hard not to reflect on my week. Whereas pretty much every week for the last three months has flown by, so much so that I'm convinced somebody has been stealing a day from my week; this week has been long.

Lectures have tailed off this week, allowing for study time and tutorials to ask those final assignment questions before we break up for Christmas. I have an education assignment that needs to be in by next Tuesday (which I'm working on right now), then a group presentation to deliver a couple of days after the New Year break, practical kinesiology and PE assignments that need to be handed in a week later and finally a sociology and psychology of sport exam on the 16th January.

A while ago I mentioned a fitness test and that I had to complete another one later in the year. Later in the year was actually last Tuesday. I'd been training hard for weeks and weeks, but I picked up a foot injury while out running about three weeks ago, stopping me from training. I really haven't been feeling well the last couple of weeks either, further adding to my inability to train properly or play so much football. During the fitness test I was specifically aiming to improve my score in the bleep test, which I did. I managed level 13.5 as opposed to 12.6 last time. Not quite the improvement I was looking for, but I can't complain due to the lack of recent training and how utterly crap I was feeling on the day. Would have been nice to know what level I could have achieved if things had gone to plan.

I can't believe it's Christmas in just over a weeks time; I'm really not feeling Christmassy at all. The only way I can see that changing right now is if one night, I'm visited by a trio of ghosts...
