Percent by volume

Beer fueled weblog entries. A good idea? You'll probably find that a lot more may be said than usual; things that would have been picked up by those filters in your brain, not allowing them to be transmitted to the fingers on the keyboard, will now slip through the net. Sadly, grammar and spelling may also fall by the wayside, so for that I apologize.

Sometimes beer helps. I've been out for some said beers with friends - I've had a few, I'm quite happy. Upon my return, I've also just raided the fridge, eating sausages that are meant for the Christmas lunch tomorrow. They're nice, I was hungry and they were just there, in the fridge. Maybe that will mean less for me tomorrow when I sit down for lunch, I don't know.

I'm still not feeling Christmassy by the way, those ghosts never came to take me on a journey through past, present and future. Years ago, when I was a kid, Christmas eve would be filled with so much excitement, not being able to sleep in anticipation of what Santa would bring; but these days, I can't sleep for other reasons. For me, Christmas lost it's appeal when I stopped having toys; when I ceased to be a kid. I'm sure one day the magic will return, but that probably won't be for a while until I, hopefully, have my own kids.

I once wrote about what I thought was an ideal Christmas, maybe one day I'll get my wish. When I was younger, I would get pretty much what I wanted for Christmas; material things. But when you get older, priorities change and you can't always have what you want for Christmas.

Don't feel so bad now forgetting to put the sausages on the Christmas dinner! At least you did have some the night before!
