Too hot
In recent weeks I'd decided that my body had recovered enough to do another 10k race. So today I did the Chasewater 10k near Cannock. Today was hot. Very hot. The heat affected my running so much I'm not even going to bother posting my time, but needless to say it was way off my previous race time from the DK10k. At around the 6k point I started to walk for long periods, interspersed with some jogging once I decided I had recovered sufficiently to move faster than a snail. At 8k a guy offered me some of his water, which invigorated me enough to get me to the finish.
I think the moral of today is if it's 30 degrees outside, don't even bother to try and do a 10k race.
UPDATE: Not only was it a poor performance in the heat yesterday, but I've also picked up a foot injury in the process. The same kind of injury I had before Christmas last year, but the left foot this time. Great. That'll be at least a month of no running then. TO THE BIKE!
Results are up...

A 68 year old woman beat me by over a minute! Oh dear. Not a good result!
