Gimme the prize

It must be that time of the semester again as I'm sat at my desk, surrounded by text books full of yellow post-its, scribbled notes containing ideas and quotes and a(nother) mug of steaming coffee to ward off the evil desire to sleep.

I've just finished putting my poster together for a presentation I have to deliver in the morning, which took a lot longer to complete than you'd think. But no time for rest. I'm onto the next assignment due in on Friday, which I have already done a sizable amount of, but there's still more to be done. I started it several weeks ago, but having a break to complete the poster has left me feeling like I've been working on this thing forever. I just want it done now. How good would it be to go to sleep tonight, wake up in the morning and see it completed on my desk - but that's sadly not going to happen.

In other news, there's only a week left at the mansion before the move to the river house. Quite good timing really as I wouldn't have liked to be moving this week with these two assignments to hand in!

Oh, and Si has turned 30. Not long for the rest of us now...
