I live in the West Midlands, England. I’m a student studying PE and Sports Studies. This is my online photoblog, where I display images from my local area, travels and sometimes my daily life.

For the last two years I’ve updated a personal weblog, occasionally adding photos to supplement the entries. Finding that I was posting more photos than words, I developed Phoenix Tales in December 2004 to publish my interest in photography. Whilst trying to decide a domain name to use, Phoenix Tales came into my head and just wouldn’t go away.

As a child, I enjoyed taking pictures, but only in the last couple of years have I renewed the interest. Sampling the digital age with my dad’s Canon S45 led me to purchase my own compact digital for travelling in the USA. My current equipment is listed to the side of this page, but needless to say my preferred camera of choice is Canon. In July 2005 I made the step-up to a digital SLR. I’m very much a beginner at this, but working hard to improve my skills.
